PLC Design partnered with Tipping Point, a non-profit that works to break the cycle of poverty in the Bay Area, and The Financial Justice Project housed in the Office of the San Francisco Treasurer to design a report called The Payback Problem. The 72 page analysis uncovers the issue of child support payments being diverted from children to the cost of public assistance, and how it harms low-income families. California State Senator Nancy Skinner is using the report to sponsor a bill that would increase the amount of child support that goes directly to families. Read the full report: The Payback Problem.
